2025 has been an interesting year in film so far. The winter dry spell felt unusually long, though as Our Buddy Brett would point out, there were a few good sleepers from that period. I didn’t look forward to seeing a movie in theaters until Mickey 17 in March! But, when things ramped up, man…they really ramped up. Sinners took the world by storm, you can make an argument that it kicked off the summer blockbuster season in its own way. That mark seems to creep up every year. But, this year in particular, there was a barrage of big releases week after week. Whether or not they were good? Well, that may be a different discussion.
